Nancy Wilson (jazz singer) was born to Olden Wilson who was the Chillicothe ironworker on February 20, 1937. She was the daughter of Lillian Ryan worked as household helper. Within a short time she began singing at The Blue Morocco Night Club located on Boston Road near The Bronx. A representative from Adderley's company saw her singing and instantly took her on.
